Terms of use

1. Introduction and scope

These Terms of use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Treebank tree-donation platform, including the website treebank.vn and the Treebank interface embedded in partner applications (the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform.

2. Definitions

• Campaign: a tree-planting project operated by Treebank, run independently or with a partner, and published on the Platform.
• Donation: your contribution of money, or conversion of partner loyalty points, into trees for a Campaign.
• Partner: an organisation (bank, business, digital platform…) cooperating with Treebank to run Campaigns or integrate tree donation into its products.
• Certificate: the electronic contribution certificate issued by Treebank once a donation is successfully recorded.

3. Conditions of use

You undertake to provide accurate and complete information when donating (full name, email) and are responsible for the information provided. You may choose to remain anonymous — your name will then not be displayed publicly on the Platform. When using the Platform inside a partner app, you also comply with that partner's terms of service.

4. Direct donations and payment

For direct donations on treebank.vn, you transfer funds via a VietQR code with a unique transaction reference (format TBxxxxxx) in the transfer note. Donations are recorded after Treebank reconciles them against bank statements using that reference; the status shown on the Platform is informational until confirmed.

Each transaction reference is valid for the limited period shown when it is created. Donations are voluntary; if you transfer incorrectly, omit the reference, or need reconciliation support, please contact Treebank using the details in the Contact section.

5. Donations through partners

For Campaigns run with partners, point conversion or payment is performed and confirmed on the partner's systems. The conversion rate (points or money per tree) is set per Campaign, displayed clearly before you confirm, and locked at the time of the transaction. Treebank records the result once the partner confirms success; point balances and refund policies are governed by the partner.

6. Contribution certificates

Once a donation is recorded, Treebank issues an electronic Certificate stating the donor name (or anonymous status), the number of trees and the Campaign. Certificates can be viewed via a dedicated link and shared publicly at your choice.

Certificates are a recognition of contribution only — not an accounting document, invoice or basis for tax deduction.

7. Planting commitment

Treebank commits that the trees corresponding to recorded donations are planted and cared for through local implementation units, following each Campaign's plan (species, location, season). Progress and field photos are updated on the Platform. Actual planting time may depend on weather and season.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Platform — including the Treebank brand, interface, text, images and Campaign data — is owned by Treebank or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute or use it commercially without prior written consent, except for sharing Certificates and content designed for sharing.

9. Prohibited conduct

• Unauthorised interference with the Platform's systems, source code or APIs.
• Forging transactions, transaction references, Certificates or another person's identity.
• Using the Platform for money laundering, fraud or unlawful purposes.
• Collecting other users' data in any form.

Treebank may refuse to record transactions, revoke Certificates and suspend service in case of violations.

10. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. Treebank is not liable for damages arising from: (i) disruptions of banking systems, partner systems or telecom infrastructure beyond Treebank's control; (ii) incorrect information you provide or transfers not following instructions; (iii) force majeure. In all cases, Treebank's liability shall not exceed the value of the related donation.

11. Changes to these Terms

Treebank may update these Terms from time to time. Updates are published on this page with their effective date; your continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance. For material changes, Treebank will give clear notice on the Platform.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Disputes shall first be resolved through negotiation and mediation; failing agreement, they shall be submitted to the competent courts of Vietnam.
